Call for Climate Solutions 2026
C-CAMP, with support from Ashraya Hastha Trust (AHT), launched the 1st Nationwide ‘Call for Climate Solutions’ on 17th February 2026, to identify and nurture impactful innovations at the interface of climate change with health, agriculture, and environment.
The 'Call for Climate Solutions 2026' is now closed for new applications, and the assessment of submitted applications is currently underway.

Call for Climate Solutions: First Cohort (2026)
C-CAMP, through its newly launched Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Sustainability & Climate Action, announces ‘Call for Climate Solutions 2026’. This initiative aims to identify and nurture the next generation of innovations at the interface of climate change and life sciences.
We invite Indian Startups & Companies (innovators and bio-entrepreneurs) developing solutions that:
► Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and carbon burden through biotechnology
► Enable climate-resilient and climate-friendly healthcare
► Promote climate-resilient and climate-friendly agriculture
What does the Call offer?
- Investment Support: Up to ₹50 Lakhs (For solutions nearing deployment & scale-up, the investment support may be increased beyond ₹50 Lakhs)
- Incubation Support: Access to C-CAMP's incubation facilities for the cohort duration (~6 months)
- Mentorship & Handholding Support: Comprehensive guidance and structured handholding across technical, regulatory, legal, IP, manufacturing, and market readiness domains for the cohort duration (~6 months)
- Validation & Scale-up Assistance: Facilitation for validation, deployment, and scaling of technologies
- Networking & Connect with Stakeholders: Access to C-CAMP’s ever-growing network of stakeholders for future investments, adoption, and societal deployment
Reachout to Mature Companies
The Call also welcomes startups and companies with mature climate technologies, even if they are not seeking investment. Such applicants can engage with the programme to access C-CAMP’s labs, mentorship, validation and deployment opportunities, and to connect with C-CAMP’s broader ecosystem. Selection will be subject to feasibility and assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Focus Areas
The CoE Programme will focus on three major themes for scouting solutions, which are listed below, along with a few suggestive examples of potential solutions (not limited to) under each theme:

Theme 1: Climate & Environment - Nurturing sustainable bio-solutions for ‘Climate’ with emphasis on ‘Bioenergy’, ‘Green Environment’, and ‘Reducing the Carbon Burden’
Suggestive Examples: Biofuels, Bioplastics, Solutions for waste management and enabling circularity, Climate-smart technologies, Industrial Green-tech, and Synthetic biology-based solutions, such as new molecules, enzymes, engineered microbes, alternative proteins, etc.

Theme 2: Climate & Health - Enabling Climate-resilient Healthcare by fostering technologies for uncoupling Societal Health from Climate Change
Suggestive Examples: Solutions for surveillance & control of climate-linked infectious & vector-borne disorders, Solutions improving air & water quality, Solutions enabling ‘Pandemic Preparedness’, Climate-resilient & Climate-friendly healthcare delivery solutions, etc.

Theme 3: Climate & Agriculture - Supporting technologies promoting ‘Food Security’ & boosting ‘Sustainable Agriculture’ under changing climate conditions
Suggestive Examples: Climate-resistant crop varieties, Solutions for monitoring & improving soil health, Precision agriculture, Nature-based Solutions (including biofertilizers, biopesticides, etc.), Carbon offsetting Agri solutions, Solutions for managing Agri-Methane emissions, Climate-friendly Agri solutions, etc.

Selection Process
Stage 1: Primary Screening – Online Form
Interested Startups/ Companies can submit details of their innovation using the online form that also includes submitting a slide-deck (applicants can access an offline replica of the application form and the slide deck template using this link).
While the slide deck will be uploaded in a pdf format during Stage 1, the applicants are advised to save a copy of presentation as this will also be used for pitching during the next stages of assessment.
Submissions will be screened, and shortlisted solutions will move to Stage 2 of assessment.
Stage 2: Presentation Pitch – Initial Round
Shortlisted Startups/ Companies will share a self-recorded 8-minute pitch using the same slide deck shared during Stage 1.
This pitch will be screened by an expert committee, while applicants will join virtually for Q&A.
This round will identify climate solutions (technologies) that align best with the programme. Selected startups will advance to the final round of pitching.
Stage 3: Presentation Pitch – Final Round
Finalists will present their pitch to an expert committee (preferably in-person). This round will determine the startups to be selected for support through the programme, subject to due diligence (Stage 4).
Stage 4: Due Diligence
Startups shortlisted for support will undergo technical, legal, financial, and other due diligence before final approval for support under the CoE programme.
