Services under Diagnostics CoE
The National Diagnostics Catapult provides a number of services under its three verticals: Clinical, Analytical and DROP Platform:
I. Clinical Assessment: Clinical sensitivity assessment of IVD kits (RT PCR, PCR, LFA, ELISA) for infectious diseases in clinical settings. Clinical assessments of such kits are available for following diseases
- Dengue
- Chikungunya
- Malaria
- Leptospirosis
- Typhoid
- Scrub Typhus
- Tuberculosis
- Influenza (A& B)
- RSV infection
- COVID-19
II. Analytical Assessment: Analytical assessment of Reagents - Enzyme Testing, PCR Master mix, RT-PCR MasterMix, Primer and probe, Phosphoramidites (DNA, RNA) and dNTPs, and IVD kit (RT PCR, PCR, LFA, ELISA) assessment

- Functional test in a multiplex RT-PCR assay
- Currently testing is done using well standardized multiplex Covid assay (For Reverse Transcriptase master mix)
- Herpes multiplex encompassing- three herpes viruses (Taq Polymerase master mix)
3. Analytical assessment of Primers and Probes:
- Identity by ESI MS
- Content by UV spectroscopy
- Purity by RP HPLC
- Purity by 1H NMR and 31P NMR
- Functional test using multiplex RT-PCR assay
- Stability
4. Analytical assessment of Phosphoramidites (DNA, RNA) and dNTPs:
