C-CAMP organized the 5th edition of its Quarterly Friday Forum (QFF) series in April 2016. The guest speaker was Dr. Malathi Lakshmikumaran, Director & Practice Head of Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys and one of the renowned patent lawyers in the country. Dr. Malathi spoke mainly about IP strategy for start-ups at an advanced level and had a highly vibrant and interactive session with the start-ups.She stressed on the importance of covering even small innovations with patents early on. She also emphasised the need for 'freedom-to-operate' analysis for R&D research tools, which many times is left out by scientific entrepreneurs. The QFF ended with its signature networking session over pizza and soft drinks. The start-ups continued their discussions with Dr. Lakshmikumaran and interacted amongst themselves. |
